I bought the packaged deal with the play kit, and after reviewing others who said it doesnt come with enough sand..I bought another tub as well. It really does NOT come with very much sand at all!! The plastic tubs..are NOT filled with the sand..they instead have a very small baggy-about the size of a deck of cards...of sand.
But aside from that...when you do get it all, it really is mesmorizing to play with.
Other reviewers said that it was very messy, I think it depends on your kids and what you limit them to. My kids play only at the table, and we just sweep it all back into the play kit when they are done. Not much effort to clean up. I highly recommend it.
