(More customer reviews)This Halloween shopping experince was so bad, it's scary. You are taking your chances with this outfit - both the costume and the company. Here's why:
* Misleading sizing information. Advertised on Amazon as 4-6T. My son is 4-years old, 40 pds. and 41" tall - in the 75th percentile - yet this outfit was at least 1-2 sizes too small (see pix under Customer Images). Especially for those of us who live in cooler climates, where wearing clothes under a costume is mandatory, this is a major mislabeling problem - I thought I would have plenty of extra room. Their problem becomes your problem when you try to return it for a refund because of . . .
* Awful customer service. The Brands on Sale automated phone system instructs callers to select either #1, 2, or 3. But when one of those numbers is pressed, there is this recording, "I am sorry, that is not a valid extension. Please try again," and the system hangs up on you. When you finally do connect, wait times are 20-30 minutes. But the victory is short-lived as live reps took their cue from the automated system and disconnected me twice.
* Expensive. 25% product restocking fee ($7.50), which, in addition to the S/H costs of the inital delivery plus return delivery costs ($20.00), and time spent pursuing a claim, exceed the cost of the outfit. Yet, even if you keep this teeny-tiny costume . . .
* Poor Quality: Scratchy fibers line the inside. Flimsy quality that will probably only last one wearing.
The only thing correctly advertised about this costume: That it's a dog. Don't bite. Buy something else, somewhere else.
