(More customer reviews)After searching for khakis to act as a Crocodile Hunter costume I came across this great set (also great safari guide costume). We purchased the boy and girl versions; my 6 year old son will be Steve, 3 year old daughter will be Terri.
The costumes are REALLY well made, nice, heavy fabric and finished well. The belt is cute but very flimsy and won't stay on. The monkey is darling and adds to the zoo keeper or safari theme nicely. Unfortunately the hat is cheap foam and after being folded up with the outfit looks terrible. Finally, they run really small. Both fit well "around", with room to spare. The size 4-6 is far too short for my size 5 son, the pants hit him right below the knee! The sleeves are way too short as well, I will have to alter both to become short sleeves/shorts. The 4-6 girls outfit is roomy but very reasonable on my size 3 daughter as long as i cinch the skirt with a safety pin. Considering my fairly petite kids there is no way an average 5 year old or 6 year old would fit into either the boy or girl costume.
Overall, I am very pleased due to the quality. I felt that the price was reasonable for a costume. I don't mind doing the alterations on such nice fabric. These darling costumes will get lots of use well after Halloween.
