(More customer reviews)I purchased two (black and brown) Cappello Faux Suede Ivy Scally Caps 5 point Irish Flat Driver Hats, and believe I got a pretty good deal. I thought Faux Suede was real Suede until I received the package very quickly and nicely packaged, but it was not real Suede, in this case it is 100% Polyester with a suede brushed look and feel. I was going to protest and send it back until I read the desciption on the web somewhere and why such hats are made of imitation suedes and not good to get real suede wet.
I tried the caps on and they look great for dress occassions. The only thing is the L/XL for these caps is a bit tight on my 23" circumference head. My head measures exactly 23 Inches and XL should be fine with about 1/2 inch to spare. Not these hats. They also look physically smaller around the head and gill than other IVY caps.
The other thing is neither cap came with instruction on care such as cleaning and mainly water proofing. I contacted the distributor at Headchange International [headchangecorporation@yahoo.com] and he replied with an email and provided the best solution to use called Trek 7 (water based, with instructions not to use Silicone based on these hats). Capello, these are great caps but you may want to make them a little bigger physically as well as the XL size. The distributor was outstanding with the packaging and quick shipping response. Not there fault if the manufacturer does not provide cleaning instructions and no way to contact them directly. Made in China.
I still am going to wear these hats, because I do like them, just not as much as my other Ivy caps that protect my eyes from the son better.
