(More customer reviews)Much cooler then expected. This was not our first choice. We were looking at several other costumes before we decided on this one. Intended for our son 6th B-day party. There were several other costumes we were considering that on picture on the websites, Amazon and others, looked so much cooler then this one, and better priced. But they were jumpsuit, or looked more suitable for 3 or 4 year olds. We wanted specifically pants and shirts seperate, preferably short sleeves (because of the how wheather where we live). So after long consideration, back and forth, back and forth, we decided on this one, simply because it was the only one that really matched our requirements of seperate pants and shirts with short sleeve, that we kind of liked a bit from the pictures. But when we received it, we got all exited. It looks realy cool. Much better in real-life then on the picture. The material looks of good quality. The eye-patch is stiched to the bandana, which I think is good, because it won't get lost that way, and it's also easier for him to wear. There are also hair-locks with beads stiched to the bandana, which completes the overall pirate appearance. I think one piece was missing from the one we received though. The black-string that goes through the black-vest was missing. I think it suppose to be with the costume.... it's not specifically written in the details, but it's shown in the picture, and you kind of expect it to be there afterall, it seems to naturally go with the vest. I'm not sure it was lost in shipment, or when they packaged it, or what. Anyway we can replace that with black-string or something,.. we'll find something for it, if we feel the need to. It looked cool with out the string too,... so we may just leave it like that too. The play knife/sword did not came with it, but that is mentioned in the details of the costume,(that it is not included). So that was not a surprise.
The size was just right for our son, that is turning 6. Perhaps we should have gone with the larger size (6-8) instead of (4-6),... I think the 6-8 size would also have fit him,... but anyway this 4-6 is good for his B-day. Still find it a bit pricy. But I was not able to find it anywhere else at a better price (I did find it on several other online stores, but at same price or even higher). We had our son try it on, and he was VERY HAPPY and EXITED with it. Looking forward to his B-day party.
